Editing photos

I have chose the pictures I want to use on my front cover, contents page and double page spread and edited them slightly to make them look better for my magazine.

This is the picture I chose to use for my front cover. I removed the background to make it transparent to add onto my background for my front cover and so her head will slightly cover the name of the magazine. Other then that I did no other editing as her face has no obvious spots or blemishes and she has no bags under her eyes etc. I also didn't do any airbrushing as in the rock genre its less about being perfect and in my article my artist gives off a vibe which says she doesn't care about being perfect.

This is one of my contents page pictures. I changes the colours, contrast, shadows and brightness a lot to get a more clear visible image with a better colour scheme.

This is another picture from my contents page. I have cropped out the red sign to the left of the mirror to make it look more professional. The picture is also very yellow so I turned down the saturation a lot then slightly changed some of the colours.
Although for my rough cut I haven't photoshopped my pictures much, I plan on doing more editing to them and taking some more, better pictures as I'm currently not too happy with the ones I have.
